Bål, NADA og fuldmåneby Visit Faaborg

Come and experience the full moon by the fire in Findstrup Dal, where Hanne Pedersen from Naturkompasset offers NADA ear acupuncture. We gather around the campfire, where I serve a cup of NADA detox tea, which, along with the acupuncture, aims to provide calm. NADA is a recognized balance-creating acupuncture that the Chinese have been using for more than 1000 years. NADA is standardized methodology and aims to complement treatment in recovery, stress, addiction, and mental health conditions. Bring warm clothes and a blanket, there are benches with reindeer skins and the possibility to lie on your own blanket or sleeping mat. Please also bring a headlamp. BEER TOUR through the old cozy alleys of Faaborgby Visit Faaborg

Join us on an exciting guided Beer Tour with visits to several of the historic farm environments from the 18th century. We start in Den Gamle Gaard with a glass of beer and a sandwich. From here, the tour continues through the old medieval town, where you will experience seven unique places in the historic Faaborg. In each place, one of our local Danish beer enthusiasts Faaborg will present an exciting beer. In one place you will get a taste of the local KIJAFA liqueur. During the tour, the good Faaborg guide will tell good stories about life in old Faaborg. You carry your beer glass in a special crochet bag knitted for the occasion. Collaboration in Den Gamle Gaardby Visit Faaborg

Come and knit a modern version of the Lyøhuen. Sebrina Smiszek has made a reinterpretation of the old fishermen's hats from Lyø. Here she has tried to reproduce some of the pattern parts from the old hats on an alpehue/beret. Together with Sebrina, we each knit our own version of the hat in the historical surroundings of Den Gamle Gaard in Holkegade. There are 30 seats - so buy your ticket now if you want to secure a seat. The hat is knitted on p. 3. Three different colors are used. Then you have some yarn leftovers that can be used, bring them. And if you need to buy some yarn, there will be an opportunity to buy it for the event.

Dark baths and nature sensory therapyby Visit Faaborg

Together we explore darkness, through our senses, and welcome it, as part of the cycle of year and life. The winter months associate many with gloom and fear, as we can feel vulnerable in the dark. Darkness invites contemplation and a slowness. Through the exercise, participants are invited to stay in the dark, and from a safe place, to go to observe and experience the darkness through the senses. Did you know that darkness is a prerequisite for the body to form the sleep hormone melatonin, which protects us from depression? Through the darkness, we can see the light.

Eftermiddagsvandring i Svanninge Bakkerby Visit Faaborg

Søndag den 12 maj, Mors Dag og sidste dag i Geopark Dagene, kan I komme med på en dejlig formiddagstur i Svanninge Bakker med Naturvejleder Anne Kolath Jensen. Vi mødes kl. 11 ved Pandekagehuset, Faaborg Camping, Odensevej 140, Faaborg og begiver os ud i det smukke landskab på en ca. 7 km lang rundtur gennem Svanninge Bakker til landsbyen Svanninge. Vi går gennem den smukke gamle landsby, og tilbage gennem bakkerne hvor vi ankommer til Pandekagehuset efter ca. 2,5 times vandretur. På turen bliver der rig mulighed for at se på, og høre om det fantastiske istidslandskab og dets udvikling frem til i dag. Vi kommer også til at høre om De Sydfynske Kunstmalere og deres store kærlighed til dette fantastiske område, og vi ser de steder som gav inspiration til deres smukke malerier. Turen går forbi Svanninge Præstegård og Svanninge Kirke og et smut ned forbi Det Gamle Hospital. Det bliver en tur med de smukkeste udsigter ud over Det Sydfynske Øhav og med vandring gennem den helt specielle natur som findes i De Sydfynske Alper. Når vi vender tilbage efter vores tur, vil der være rig mulighed for få sult og tørst stillet i Pandekagehuset ved Faaborg Camping.

Garn & Go - Weekend Island Stay at Avernakø KOPIby Avernakø Landhotel

**Weekend island stay at Avernakø in the South Funen Archipelago Go on this weekend island stay alone or with your very best yarn friends. In addition to plant dyeing and hiking, the stay will focus on coziness, community and the common interest in the yarn. Bring your knitwear and get all the way down into gear. Avernakø Landhotel a place with a homely atmosphere, lots of coziness and good homemade food. In addition, we have a park-like garden, restaurant and farm shop. The weekend starts in Faaborg where plant colours and field communicators Henriette Grube and Anne, nature supervisor in Tur i Natur — Anne, will receive 9.45 at Faaborg harbour. On the ferry trip, they will share their knowledge of our corner of the South Funen Archipelago. On the crossing there will be cake as well as coffee and tea. Day 1 will feature plant coloring, walking with Anne, delicious food and plenty of time for coziness and relaxation. Day 2 will include breakfast, plant coloring, lunch, afternoon coffee and joint ferry ride back to Faaborg. We thank you for a fantastic weekend in Faaborg at 15.50. Plant Colouring Plant coloring We carry out all processes in plant coloring with 2 different plants/colors. Step 1: Pickling that enables the yarn's ability to take on color. Step 2: The dye bath itself, where water, plants and yarn are heated and staining occurs. Step 3: Fixing colors in vinegar water. Plant coloring is cozy and slow, so there is plenty of time for relaxation and for the knitwear along the way. It is possible to bring your own yarn for dyeing. It must be wool, mohair or angora — however max 500 g. There will also be an option to buy Hand-spun yarn at Avernakø Landhotel, which can be used forplant dyeing. Hiking Discover one of the beautiful wonders of the archipelago on foot. In addition to the walk from the ferry to the Avernakø Landhotel, after lunch on day 1, there will be a wonderful hike around the island. The hike will be a guided tour with small pleasant stories about nature, the area and the history of Avernakø. The trip will be about 7-8 km. long. If you have difficulty walking, you can shorten the trip.

Island Hop in Hiking Shoesby Avernakø Landhotel

Experience two islands on one trip in the South Funen Archipelago, Avernakø and Lyø. We take care of everything from ferry tickets and luggage transport to accommodation and meals. Here, you have the chance to experience a part of a UNESCO Global Geopark. The Program Day 1: The trip starts in Faaborg 10 am. At Kanalvej 13, the Ø-færgen is waiting for you. The first stop is Lyø, where the ferry docks at 10:40 AM. Ask the ferry staff to send your luggage on to Avernakø, where we will collect it. On Lyø, you have 4 hours to explore this beautiful island. You should bring a packed lunch, as there aren't any restaurants open on Lyø this time of year. The ferry departs from Lyø to Avernakø at 14:40. From Avernakø Harbour, it is a 1.5 km journey to the hotel, where your luggage and room await. At 16:00, we will welcome you with coffee and cake. You might have the energy for an evening walk after dinner, or perhaps Avernakø's beautiful nature will have to wait until day 2. Day 2: You pack a lunch in connection with breakfast, and on the trip, there are many good and obvious places to enjoy it. Plan the trip so you can catch the ferry back to Faaborg at 3:10 PM or 4:35 PM.

The shores of Lyø and Avernakø are rarely busy, guaranteeing you can enjoy your fishing in solitude – often with entire stretches of coastline to yourself. This trip is tailored for those who want to immerse themselves in fishing at their own pace while soaking up the tranquil atmosphere of these beautiful islands. With our many years of experience, we ensure that every detail – from meal times to practical needs – is adjusted to your preferences, so your fishing experience is as seamless as possible. With a limited number of participants on this trip, you’ll have the perfect setting to fully focus on your fishing. Itinerary Day 1: The trip begins with check-in at Lundsgaard Bed & Breakfast between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, or by arrangement. The location is close to the coast, allowing you to cast your line into the water from the very first day. Since Lundsgaard does not have a restaurant, we recommend visiting one of the excellent dining options in Faaborg, just 5 km away. Day 2: The day begins with breakfast at Lundsgaard, followed by the ferry departure from Kanalvej 13, Faaborg. Departure times are at 5:50 AM or 8:00 AM on weekdays and 8:00 AM on all other days. You will receive your ferry ticket in advance via email, which can simply be scanned by the ferry staff. The ferry trip to Lyø takes approximately 40 minutes. Your packed lunch and coffee will arrive with the ferry at 9:10 AM and can be found in a marked cooler box at Lyø Harbor. After spending a few hours fishing along Lyø's peaceful shores – where there are rarely other anglers – you will take the ferry to Avernakø, departing from Lyø Harbor at 2:45 PM and arriving at Avernakø at 3:10 PM. Upon arrival at Avernakø Landhotel, we will welcome you with coffee and cake, followed by check-in at the hotel. Dinner will be served according to your preferences, allowing you to plan your fishing day without interruptions. In the evening, you can explore Avernakø's beautiful coasts and prepare for the next day of fishing. We also offer facilities and space for social activities, such as tying a fly or two (please bring your fly-tying tools and materials). Day 3 is entirely yours – with a packed lunch in your bag, you can explore the island’s coasts at your own pace. Avernakø offers numerous fishing spots where you can find peace and enjoy stretches of shoreline all to yourself. Check-out from your room is at 11:00 AM, but we offer storage for your luggage and any catch until later in the day. Of course, assistance is available throughout the day. You decide when to take the ferry back, and we will provide your ferry ticket. Join us on a winter escape to Avernakø and experience the island in a new light. We'll take care of everything so you can simply relax and enjoy the island's peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy a guided hike, visit our many animals, and taste local produce. In the evening, you can cozy up with board games, glögg, and æbleskiver. We'll embrace the Danish winter spirit with all it has to offer. Day 1 10:00 AM The island ferry departs from Kanalvej 13, Faaborg. Your ferry tickets have been sent to you in advance. Hot coffee and freshly baked buns will be served on the ferry. 11:20 AM Arrival at Avernakø harbor. From here, a beautiful walk (1.3 km) leads up to the hotel. 12:15 PM Lunchtime! Enjoy a delicious lunch with a variety of options from the menu. 1:00 PM We invite you on a guided winter walk, where we will walk around the popular "Skallevejen" trail (4.3 km) together. Our guide will tell you about the island's nature, culture, and history. Afterwards, you can explore the island on your own - on foot, by rented bike, or in your own car. We recommend a trip across "Drejet" or around Hovedsøen, and you will be provided with a map of the island. After dark, we will cozy up indoors with board games, glögg, and apple fritters. You are also welcome to join us for some yarn dyeing during your stay. 6:30 PM Dinner will be served as a buffet with the dish of the day. The menu varies, but there is always Danish food made from scratch with love. Vegan and vegetarian options are of course available. Day 2 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet with a selection of homemade treats, coffee, tea, and other goodies. 9:30 AM: For those interested, we offer a tour to meet the animals at the hotel and watch them being fed. Meet our rabbits, goats, sheep, chickens, guinea pigs, budgies, and musk ducks. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: The morning is for "free play," where you can enjoy whatever you like most. We will of course do our best to accommodate your wishes. Perhaps you want to explore parts of Avernakø, such as Hovedsøen or Drejet? 12:00 PM: Lunch is served. Afterwards, you can continue with fun activities. Island trip with room for presence, creativity and fun in nature on Avernakø in the South Funen Sea. We take care of everything, from the company from Faaborg to accommodation and food and activities. With this tour we want to create a safe experience, both fun and with a focus on the safety and health of children. The Program Day1 9:45am: We meet at Kanal 13, Faaborg where the ferry is waiting for us. On the ferry we serve buns with cold or hot cocoa and we can tell a lot about the South Funen Island Sea. There is also free access to a locker filled with children's books, toys and drawing supplies so that children can enjoy themselves throughout the trip. 11:10am: Upon arrival at Avernakø, we take your luggage to the hotel, so you can enjoy a relaxing walk up to the hotel without carrying anything. After the entrance, there is a child-friendly lunch with several dishes. Throughout the stay there is free access to fruit, vegetables and buttered buns for the little hungry, as well as coffee and tea for the adults. In the afternoon, depending on the weather, we can go on a beach trip with exciting equipment for play and discovery, or enjoy ourselves by the fire in the fire hut with popcorn and the company of animals. 5.30pm: For dinner, you can build your own delicious burgers and enjoy pancakes with ice cream for dessert. 6.30pm: We say goodnight to all the animals and learn about their evening routines. Day 2 7:00 AM — 8:00 AM: Enjoy a delicious breakfast with a large and child-friendly selection of homemade delights. 9:15 a.m.: Join us for an exciting animal watching tour, where Majbritt talks about the animals and everyone can help feed them. Lecture on Nature-Based Psychotherapy by Hanne Pedersen. The evening offers an introduction to Nature-based psychotherapy, a relatively new branch of psychotherapy. Nature-based psychotherapy is aimed at those who experience stress, sadness, or have a desire to change your current state. Hanne will talk about how the approach can be used through theory and examples from practice. The therapy always takes place out in nature, where the cycle of nature and the seasons are involved. In the therapy, hiking, meditation and contact with the body and senses are used, among other things. Nature-based Psychotherapy, can be performed one to one, as a couple, family, or in a group. In the evening, Hanne will also inform about upcoming activities including: workshops, group courses and individual courses.

*Experience the combination of nature and literature. * Take us out into the woods for a nice time around the campfire, where we start with a relaxing coming-to-be meditation. The reading guide reads aloud, and together we reflect on the feelings and thoughts that the words awaken in us. We continue with mindfulness in nature — we walk quietly, do breathing exercises, and lay down in nature to open our senses to the sounds and smells of the forest (forest bathing). Nature can affect our senses all by itself. Just being present in nature is perceived as stress-relieving, and helps to create security and clarity.

Svampekursus 2024 (Begynder)by Visit Faaborg

Er du helt ny i svampenes verden, så er det her kurset for dig. Over 4 torsdags aftener/eftermiddage, , tager vi hul på denne helt forrygende verden. I løbet af de 4 gange, spredt hen over højsæsonen, får vi mulighed for at komme igennem de fleste af svampesæsonens spiselige arter. Kurset vil tage udgangspunkt i de spiselige svampe samt de mest giftige, men også komme ind på svampenes biologi. Uden en viden om denne, bliver man aldrig en god svampesamler og kan forholde sig til alle de myter, der er omkring svampene. Kurset starter torsdag d. 29/8 og forløber over 4 torsdage (29/8, 12/9 26/9 og 10/10). Alle dage fra kl. 16.30 til kl. 19.30. Veterantoget Faaborg-Korinth t/rby Visit Faaborg

Tag en tur med den Syd Fyenske Veteranjernbane og oplev, hvordan det var at rejse med tog i 1950’erne. Turen fra Faaborg til Korinth tager en halv time, og efter 30 eller 60 minutters ophold returnerer veterantoget. Toget rumler gennem smukke fynske landskaber og passerer både skove og marker, og med flere gode kig ud over øhavet. Ved Korinth station kan du blandt andet læse mere om jernbanen mellem Faaborg og Ringe, og her er en drejeskive, som nogle gange bruges til at vende lokomotiver og vogne. Desuden er der spisepladser såvel ude som inde, lille kiosk med is, kaffe m.m., legeplads og motionsredskaber. Winter soup and tale in Den Gamle Gaardby Visit Faaborg

Start your Winter Days with us on Friday night. Get the heat up with our smoky hot vegetable soup that we serve with cheese gratinated flute. For the soup we serve a glass of wine. After we have eaten, our local writer and narrator Esther Rützou will present an exciting story by Poul Kinafarer, one of Faaborg's most renowned merchants. An 18th-century peasant boy who stuck at sea learned to trade and travelled all the way to China to fetch valuable silk fabrics and lacquer trays for Faaborg.” The event is presented in a collaboration between Den Gamle Gaard and Faaborg Fortalescene. Yoga and winter restby Visit Faaborg

The starting point is the classical form of yoga, Hatha Yoga.
