Experience two islands on one trip in the South Funen Archipelago, Avernakø and Lyø. We take care of everything from ferry tickets and luggage transport to accommodation and meals. Here, you have the chance to experience a part of a UNESCO Global Geopark.
The Program

Day 1: The trip starts in Faaborg 10 am. At Kanalvej 13, the Ø-færgen is waiting for you. The first stop is Lyø, where the ferry docks at 10:40 AM. Ask the ferry staff to send your luggage on to Avernakø, where we will collect it.

On Lyø, you have 4 hours to explore this beautiful island. You should bring a packed lunch, as there aren't any restaurants open on Lyø this time of year.

The ferry departs from Lyø to Avernakø at 14:40. From Avernakø Harbour, it is a 1.5 km journey to the hotel, where your luggage and room await. At 16:00, we will welcome you with coffee and cake. You might have the energy for an evening walk after dinner, or perhaps Avernakø's beautiful nature will have to wait until day 2.

Day 2: You pack a lunch in connection with breakfast, and on the trip, there are many good and obvious places to enjoy it. Plan the trip so you can catch the ferry back to Faaborg at 3:10 PM or 4:35 PM.

Ferry Ticket - Your ferry tickets will be attached to an email we send to you. There is a barcode that the ferry staff will scan when you board the ferry in Faaborg. The other tickets are solely for seat reservations but must also be brought along.

Your travel plans may change. Therefore, you can easily adjust the departure time for your return ferry by using the link in your ticket.

Luggage Transport - Your luggage should be placed in the Ø-Færgen's cargo delivery "cage" in Avernakø, and the ferry staff will ensure it is safely transported to Avernakø, where we will transport it to the hotel.

You can rent bikes on Avernakø! We have bike stations at Avernakø Harbour, Avernakø Landhotel, and Korshavn Harbour. It's just 50 DKK per day.

Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing.

It is a good idea to bring a packed lunch as there are no open eateries on Lyø at this time of year.

The restaurant and bar are open all day at Avernakø Landhotel, if you would like a bite to eat or something to drink in addition to what is included.

When registering, please indicate which ferry departure you would like to take back to Faaborg. Departure from Avernakø at 3:10 PM, arriving in Faaborg at 3:40 PM, or departure at 4:35 PM, arriving at 5:40 PM.
